Full-stack Lead Developer

Based in Antwerp, T-Mining makes maritime logistics processes like Secure Container Release more secure and efficient. Every day, more than 1.000 companies in over 20 different countries use our solution and infrastructure. By using decentralized technologies such as blockchain and implementing concepts like Self Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Commercial Privacy, we provide the industry with easy-to-use instruments to remain in control of their data.

As a member of our Development team, you will join a friendly and talented group of professionals within a dynamic scale-up company facing great challenges.

We are looking for an enthusiastic full-stack lead developer to join our team.  

Job content:

• You are end-to-end responsible for the software development of one of our new to-be-launched business applications, including the development, testing, and release planning
• You analyze requirements and make the appropriate software architecture design 
• You design and develop user interfaces for web applications
• You design and develop backend code
• You design and optimize the underlying database
• You write tests and provide documentation 
• You follow up on the testing by the functional testing team
• To achieve this, you work on a daily basis with our
• Product management team
• Service delivery coordinator and customer support team: CTO & In-house and/or external developers

Profile:

• You are an experienced software engineer with aMaster’s diploma in IT / software engineering or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience
• You speak English fluently (for technical discussions), preferably also Dutch 
• You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• You have a good understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• You have experience with Frontend development, and you know at least three of the following technologies: 
  • node.js, Javascript, ES6
  • express, Feathers 
  • React
  • HTTP, HTML5, CSS
  • JSON, XML 
  • Web components
  • Frontend testing frameworks
  • CI/CD tools like e.g., CircleCi

• You have multiple years of experience with backend development, and you know most of the  following technologies:
  • node.js, Javascript, ES6
  • express, Feathers
  • Postgresql, Sequelize
  •  mocha
  •  docker
  •  GIT
  • API’s

• Basic knowledge of the following is a plus:

  • IPFS
  • solidity
  • Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Capable of giving and accepting constructive feedback

• You take responsibility for one of our products by managing:

• The development planning
• The quality of the code and tests
• The alignment with internal standards
• The software release management process
