React Native Engineer

We’re seeking a skilled and passionate React Native Frontend Engineer to join the Delta team in Ghent, Belgium!

If you have a knack for building beautiful and intuitive user interfaces for mobile applications, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

You'll be working on building new features and continuously improving the mobile experiences that powers Delta and eToro.

As a React Native Engineer, you'll translate requirements into polished, performant mobile interfaces. Ensuring smooth delivery, strong collaboration, and a high bar for quality. You'll be the glue between product, design, and backend engineering, guaranteeing that what we build feels fast, intuitive, and reliable for millions of users.

In practice, this means you'll:

• Build and maintain new features in our React Native apps for iOS and Android.
• Work closely with design and product to refine user experiences and ensure visual and interaction quality.
• Contribute to our shared Typescript and React foundations across mobile and desktop.
• Take ownership of projects from definition to release, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and improve performance.
• Help raise engineering standards by contributing to testing, documentation, and technical discussions.

All of this happens in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where engineering discipline makes the difference between good and world-class.

And just like the rest of the team, you'll be based in our Ghent office - right in the city centre, in a gorgeous historic building. (Dutch isn't required; we communicate comfortably in English.)

You'll be joining a start-up with the mentality and speed of Delta, backed by the scale and structure of eToro. Best of both worlds.

We don't want to sound like a broken record, but right now, we're really not looking for full remote positions. Even the most awesomest of awesome applicants will, unfortunately, be rejected for the time being.

Requirements

Your background:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar mobile/frontend engineering role
• Ability to take ownership of features and lead projects end-to-end
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset
• A strong eye for design and the ability to apply a high level of visual and interaction detail

Your Strengths:

• Proficiency in building mobile applications using React Native
• Strong understanding of mobile design principles and user experience
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues effectively
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools

Must-have skills:

• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs integration
• Experience applying React/React Native best practices, working with modern state management solutions, and building performant, scalable mobile applications

Bonus points for:

• Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with test-driven development
• Experience with financial markets
