An entry for Sappi's 'Ideas that matter' contest. Tele-Onthaal is a free phoneservice/number that people can dial to talk about any lifeproblems they may have. And just like there are as many people or possible life problems, there are as many shapes and contents of tin cans. However, the trick is to open them and communciate whatever is inside: “Talking is the first step”. By using witty copy-writing (Dutch idioms, language expressions and figures of speech) together with a somewhat ‘cartoony’ visual style, we eliminate any form of taboo. This allows a more positive interaction with the viewer and thereby creates a better remembrance of the phone number 106. The poster-series is also neverending: it allows endless variations of cans and different ‘contents’ so that even more specific target-groups can be reached.
