Internet Architects is a User Experience agency that differs from the "classical" UX design agencies based on 4 principles that are the common thread in everything we do. We are fact-driven through research, inclusive as we involve all different parties, result-oriented, and continuously striving to improve, because your digital product is never fully finished.
Our clients include the European Commission, Brussels Airport Company, Alpro, KBC, Port of Antwerp and the Belgian Federal Government.
Internet Architects is looking for a UX Designer to strengthen its team.
This job requires a number of fundamental skills. You should be able to:
apply common UX design patterns by heart
identify potential usability problems and fix them in a creative way
optimise designs for better task performance
rapidly sketch ideas
give well-thought-out feedback on designs
clearly communicate your design choices to team members or stakeholders
give back to the organisation by coaching peers
To complete the picture, you preferably have extensive experience in one or more of the following:
common UX design software, such as Sketch, Figma or Axure
capture funtional requirements, analyse and translate them into UX components and best practices
creating complex navigational structures or concepts
responsive and component-based design
briefing visual designers
applying a visual layer on top of wireframes
You are fluent in Dutch and English. You understand French and you are not afraid to speak the language.
Internet Architects is a User Experience agency that differs from the "classical" UX design agencies based on these 3 design principles that are the common thread in everything we do:
Fact-driven We base our design decisions on facts and observations: market research, surveys, interviews, analytics, benchmarks and user research. The internationally praised top tasks methodology serves as a basis for a lot of the research we do at our customers. This methodology was created by Customer Carewords and Internet Architects is the only Belgian partner in this international network.
Inclusive We created a template for digital transformation that fully includes all the different stakeholders – users, IT, business – to define priorities and a roadmap. Our motto: leave no one behind.
Continuous improvement A digital product is never "finished". The needs of the organisation and the user evolve constantly. So to us, a roadmap is not a static scoping document, but a living organism within an organisation, constantly adapting to the ever-changing needs. That's why we go for long-term partnerships with our clients instead of one-off projects.
Among many more, here is what we offer you:
Work-life balance There is a strong feeling of collegiality where everyone knows everyone. We have occasional lunches or coffee breaks together, but don't expect the weekly mandatory after-work drink or other social obligations. Those things happen spontaneously, with the people that are up for it.
Autonomy You'll notice that you'll get a lot of autonomy and trust at Internet Architects. To plan your work, to deal with customers, to telework... We have won a grant from the European Social Fund in 2013 because we're business with respect to human dignity. We succeeded across all evaluations and the resulting HR processes are still there today. Conversely, we expect you to be responsible and act, investigate and solve problems in an independent and professional manner. That doesn't imply that you won't be supported in your endeavors.
Unique location A lot of people envy the location of our office: Koningin Astridplein in Antwerp. With a view on the famous Central Station and in close proximity of the Chinese quarter and the Keyserlei, with its multitude of restaurants and pubs.
If all of this sweetness gets your engine running, drop us a line and your CV by email.
