oona is on the lookout for several Communications Managers for diverse account portfolios in the Cultural, Entertainment, Fashion & Nightlife scene. As a Communications Manager you will be the account manager for brands like Zalando, Levi's®, Telenet & Samsung with responsibilities in strategic planning, project management and people management.

You will be the primary point of agency contact for our clients, for whom you will be an indispensable source of input on media trends and relevant sociocultural stories.

What's the job?


  • You are a relationship builder and a people person. You excel at stakeholder management and you show your clients you have their best interests at heart.
  • You make sure your clients are serviced in the most optimal way. Building true partnerships is your main goal as an account manager. Your contacts experience you as a credible, strategic sparring partner.
  • You make sure client needs are understood and being met. You come up with both creative and strategic solutions. You have a strong eye for business opportunities.
  • You define the communications strategy and set up plans together with the client.
  • You understand what is going on in the market, you follow the trends and the thought leaders.


  • You translate the client needs into clear briefings for the project team.
  • You manage campaigns effectively and efficiently.
  • You keep an eye on the bigger picture which makes you prioritise correctly.
  • You communicate professionally with clients, influencers, platform partners (Stellar, CreatorIQ, etc.), as well as internal teams (creative/paid/digital/PR). You are the glue in between, the spider in the web.
  • You are used to work with deadlines that come with a project-based environment and are able to manage your stress levels.


  • You understand how commercial messages can become strategic storylines, connected to social responsibility topics. It is how you make a difference.
  • You highly value thorough market research.
  • You understand how the media landscape works. You put together a robust PR network of publishers and content creators across different news media and lifestyle channels. You work closely with them to create and publish articles from a powerful angle.
  • You collaborate with the client to define the right influencing approach in order to achieve the predefined targets. You identify and connect with relevant thought leaders and influencers.
  • You negotiate fair contracts for the creation of content. You ensure that you draw up a clearly defined contract that meets the legal requirements.


  • You are experienced in managing project teams. You understand when to support and when to delegate. You know how to find the right balance for this.
  • You lead by example. You don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
  • You enjoy being a helping hand and inspiring others. You are a warm, empathic social butterfly.


  • You define campaign KPIs based on brand awareness, engagement, online reputation, retention, leads and conversion.
  • You analyse the performance of the campaigns by comparing them with the commercial objectives and KPIs.
  • You map the successes and identify aspects of the campaign that can be improved.

Who are you?

  • You have 2 to 3 years professional experience in the field of earned media, market research or communications, including client servicing and account management.
  • You have an interest in one or more of the following fields: fashion, culture, the entertainment business, corporate businesses, …
  • You keep your finger on the pulse of the latest trends and you know who the relevant thought leaders are.
  • You have been successful in managing project teams of junior profiles.
  • You are a relationship builder. Openness and flexibility are key aspects here for you.
  • You are organised, proactive, detail-oriented and straight to the point.
  • You have a gift for thinking conceptually and coordinating ideas for creative, inclusive and socially responsible content.
  • You have excellent presentation skills.
  • You have excellent communication skills (NL/EN), both written and spoken. French is a strong asset.
