Back-end Engineer
at Craftzing in the heart of Antwerpen / Gent

Craftzing is looking for two back-end engineers to build and ship digital touchpoints. Someone who likes a complex challenge, can break it down and work with his / her team to build a tailor-made solution from scratch. Someone with a positive attitude who co-creates with client & colleagues, to ultimately boost quality and delivery.

What you’ll do

• You’ll work on large or enterprise web- & mobile apps and customer portals
• You build APIs for web & mobile apps
• You are able to set up complex database structures
• You integrate third party API's
• Knowledge with unit/feature testing is a plus
• You are not averse to the command line/terminal
• You combine short and long-term assignments.
• You work both independently and in a team.

What we’re looking for

• In-depth knowledge of Laravel / PHP
• Good knowledge of other frameworks (Node, Django (Python), ...) is a plus
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Vue, ..) is a plus
• Strong oral and written Dutch/English communication skills
• You have a positive attitude and love to solve problems
• Experience with working for business-critical B2B and B2C web and mobile apps
• Experience writing and consuming third-party APIs
• Some experience with OAuth and OpenID Connect is a bonus
• Some experience with Docker is a bonus
• Some experience setting up deployment pipelines and/or experience with AWS is a bonus
• Strong oral and written Dutch/English communication skills
• Familiarity with scrum and working in an agile environment
