Lazer is the world’s oldest helmet company, having started out making old leather hairnets for Belgian hardmen racing steel bicycles over cobbled farm roads. Our helmets are the result of over 90 years of experience, passion and dedication. We are always trying to create the perfect mix between design, comfort, safety and technology.This attitude has shaped Lazer into one of the most innovating helmet companies in the world. We never shy away from challenges and that has led us to taking our experience from helmet production into other fields. It became our objective to create eyewear that fits perfectly with our helmets and offer the user superior optics, premium materials and integrated design features. Currently Lazer designs, manufactures and markets its bicycle- , leisure- ,winter and eyewear products in more than 50 countries, over 5 continents.

Lazer are looking for a new Digital & PR marketing professional to join their team in Antwerp, is this you?

We want to translate that Lazer Sport essence to the outside world, getting our customers excited about our products and challenging us to create more and be better. In the digital world we all live in we look to our Digital Marketeer to give that window to the various target groups we design our products for.

Not only this but in this role you also get to work with world-class athletes and influencers as you are responsible for the image of the brand in the media. Giving you some diversity in the role and allowing you to engage with customers both online & offline. 

The challenge

  • Design and implement the annual social media and digital marketing strategy plans
  • Develop and deliver the content for the global social media platforms
  • Coordinate global coverage of the Lazer brand, using relevant specialists within the Lazer distribution network
  • Deliver up-to-date, engaging and quality non-product related website content
  • Run analytics on all digital platforms, measure performance and provide optimisations to your approaches using SEO/SEA etc.
  • Manage your resources, including external partners and budgets to achieve maximum return on investment
  • Be responsible for strong relationships with press & media contacts and ensure good coverage for Lazer’s brand & products;
  • Maintain relationships with sports teams to ensure follow up on partnerships and coordination of grassroots activities.

Is it you we are looking for?

  • Bachelor level education in the field of Marketing, Media or Communication
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in social, digital or online marketing preferably in an international company
  • Experience with Google analytics, SEA/SEO and use of online & social platforms
  • Understanding of maintaining press and media partnerships
  • Ability to confidently manage projects, work to deadlines and manage budgets
  • Excellent English communication skills, both in written and spoken
  • You are passionate and proactive, you take the initiative and are proud to deliver
  • You have a passion for sports, especially cycling!
