Responsibilities

We are looking for a results-driven junior communications specialist, to join our dynamic and creative marketing team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for content creation and the blog, which is one of the most popular in the 3D printing consumer world. In addition, the candidate will represent the company at internal and external events and via social media. In doing so, you will play a key role in our mission to become the backbone for the majority of 3D-printed consumer part transactions worldwide.

The junior MarCom specialist will report to the marketing manager. His/her responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Blog management and implementation for i.materialise:

  • Creating and managing a blogging calendar making sure posts go out on schedule,
  • Maximizing readership through social media,
  • Executing tests (A/B testing), collecting and analyzing data, following up on KPIs, identifying and reporting on trends and insights,
  • Ensuring all blog posts follow best practices, such as: SEO, calls-to-action, interlinking,…

Content management and creation

  • Creating engaging and high-quality content to attract and retain customers, Producing differentiated content: mailings, website, webinars, videos, whitepapers,…taking into account SEO recommendations and channel requirements provided by colleagues,
  • Liaising closely with graphic designers and/or videographers to create high-quality multimedia content,
  • Maintaining systems for content categorization and structure, distribution and measurement,
  • Developing editorial governance to ensure that content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone,

Community Management

  • Managing online customer feedback (social media, user forum, email…) and interacting with our community of 3D printing consumers, hobbyists and makers,
  • Building and expanding the community, monitoring discussions and following up trends,
  • Representing, marketing and building the brand at internal and external events
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English are required; fluent written and verbal knowledge of German and/or French is a plus.
  • Understanding of the sales process and ability to think from an end-user perspective.
  • Project management skills and understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across different teams.
  • Outgoing – a strong networker who knows how to adapt in different environments.
  • A proactive work ethic, growth mindset, and a desire to work for a fast-paced, results-oriented company.
  • Flexibility and a dynamic outlook are a must – this is not a 9 to 5 position.
