Subbacultcha Belgium is an independent subscription model devoted to emerging music and art. Together with our ever-growing community we’re supporting boundary-pushing artists and initiatives in Belgium and beyond. Subbacultcha gives them the audience they deserve from the start by providing an affordable membership to like-minded music and art enthusiasts. Members get access to concerts, parties, exhibitions and performances at more than 50 venues in 5 cities.

About the job

Digital marketing

  • You help Subbacultcha Belgium grow by creating membership drives. You manage these campaigns from start to finish: develop the concept and strategy, create the artwork and provide copywriting, and report insights and results to your colleagues 
  • You create landing pages and promote them via social media 
  • You come up with relevant ideas for mailings and execute them
  • You create clear (animated) Instagram stories with a call to action
  • You create (weekly) newsletters and send them to the right segment in Mailchimp
  • You analyze (membership) data and use the insights to strengthen your strategy
  • You’re involved with the development of Subbacultcha Belgium’s future by giving input about the Subbacultcha Belgium brand, strategy, and membership
  • You create and maintain surveys to create relevant personas and target them via relevant channels

Digital producer

  • You’re responsible for the Subbacultcha Belgium websites
  • You update products on the webshop
  • You communicate and collaborate with our development partner about feature requests, potential improvements, and other opportunities
  • You keep the event agenda on the site on point
  • You’re our go-to person for (technical) advice (think SEO, email hosting, our CRM and CMS systems, …) and you advise the team about possible workflow improvements
  • Experience with Html/CSS/javascript is a plus (or experience in web development)
  • You work smoothly with Typeform, Mollie, Hosting and records, WordPress + woocommerce, Facebook business, mailgun, Google Analytics, Ads, TagManager, and Optimize

Membership management

  • You communicate with our members and partners via our support platform and social media. You answer any questions they might have about the membership or the events with a customer-first attitude
  • You tackle frequently asked questions and write knowledge-based articles to minimize support ticket requests (
  • You provide (technical) support to members who experience problems with their membership. In case you’re unable to help you brief our development partner about the issue and follow up with them until a solution is reached
  • You follow up on all new subscriptions by adding them to our CRM and send out a welcome package if needed
  • You follow up with people who are stuck onboarding
  • You follow up with cancellations
  • You can find mismatched data and implement a fix in the database
  • You add orders to our webshop, keep track of the stock and send out the articles
  • You make sure all member addresses are correct for the mailings

About you

  • You can start working on Monday, 30 August 2021
  • You’re a driven young professional with a first relevant working experience on your CV (min. 1 year) 
  • You’re fluent in English and proficient in Dutch and/or French
  • You’re a digital native who’s active on social media (owning a smartphone is a must ;-))
  • You understand the Subbacultcha brand and target audience and are interested in music, art, and culture
  • You have experience with social media and content marketing
  • You have experience working with Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Premiere 
  • You’re not intimidated by technical tasks and research and are quick to learn about new developments and to share your knowledge with others (e.a. implementing a new CRM or CMS system, updating DNS records, creating new pages on the website, …)
  • You don’t mind working in a small team and can make your own to-do list, manage your time and take initiative
  • You’re able to cope with deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • You have strong communication skills, written and oral, and are not afraid to voice your opinions
  • Any experience with product or customer life cycles is a plus
