Oona Antwerp is on the lookout for a Communications Manager for one of the world's leading lifestyle technology players.

As the new Communications Manager for Samsung, you will be responsible for writing exciting brand stories and influencing campaigns. You will manage these, from creation to negotiations, always keeping the social and digital impact in mind. 

In addition, your innovative earned media strategy will shore up both Samsung's brand awareness and engagement with their target audience. Are you the creative mind that will live up to Samsung's slogan "Do what you can't do"?  

What’s the job? 

Target-setting  

  • You define campaign KPIs based on brand awareness, engagement, online reputation, retention, leads and conversion. 

Earned media  

  • You put together a robust network of publishers and content creators across different lifestyle channels. You work closely with them to create and publish articles from a powerful angle. 

Influence marketing 

  • You work closely with the client to define the right influencing approach in order to achieve the predefined targets.  
  • You identify and connect with relevant influencers.  
  • You negotiate fair contracts for the creation of content.
  • You ensure that you draw up a clearly-defined contract that meets the legal requirements. 

Social strategy 

  • You work with the client's team and the internal teams within the agency (content, digital PR, etc.) to define the social strategy. This can also mean working with the Paid media team to strengthen social campaigns. 

Campaign analysis 

  • You analyse the performance of the campaigns by comparing them with the commercial objectives.  
  • You map the successes and identify aspects of the campaign that can be improved. 

Project management  

  • You are able to translate the client's needs into a clear briefing.  
  • You manage campaigns efficiently, respecting deadlines and time frames.
  • You communicate professionally with clients, influencers, platform partners (Stellar, CreatorIQ, etc.), as well as internal teams (creative/content/paid/digital PR) 

Who are you? 

  • You have 5 to 6 years’ successful professional experience in the field of earned media and influence marketing. 
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of popular culture (music, entertainment, etc.) and keep your finger on the pulse of the latest trends in popular culture and news/media. 
  • You have proven experience in managing a team of new kids on the block.  
  • You have already managed various influential marketing platforms such as Whaler, Achoo, CreatorIQ, Stellar, etc.  
  • You have experience with online marketing strategies and channels. 
  • You can build strong relationships based on honesty. 
  • You are organised, proactive, detail-oriented and straight to the point. 
  • You have a gift for thinking conceptually and coordinating ideas for creative content. 
  • You are able to identify social media and influence marketing trends in order to work proactively. 
  • You have excellent presentation skills.  
  • You have conceptual knowledge of listening and community management tools such as Google analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and social network planning tools such as Loomly, etc. Knowledge of the concept of paid social is an asset, but is not essential.  
  • You are familiar with the legal framework governing copyright and influence marketing. 
  • You have excellent communication skills (NL/EN/FR), both written and oral.  
  • You are a born leader and team manager.
