To help us bring these games to life, we're looking for an Game Developer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Developing, optimizing and maintaining game mechanics and features using Unity or Godot
• Collaborating closely with our game designer to translate their vision into code.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Test and debug the front- and back-end to ensure a reliable user experience.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of the entire game pipeline
• In-depth knowledge of at least 1 Game Engine (Unity/Godot).
• Strong programming knowledge (e.g. C++).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for creating innovative, user-centered games, for solving problems for people.
• The ability to analyze and understand the workflows of other disciplines.
• Open-minded and willing to iterate on a feature based on feedback.
• Proficiency in English and/or Dutch.

Bonus skills

• Experience in working with Firebase for backend logic and databases.
• Understanding of JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue, React, or Angular.
• Knowledge of TypeScript.
• Understanding of SaaS architecture and cloud-based applications.
• Understanding of UI/UX design.
