As the Manager, Brand Marketing Communications, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the way we connect with our audiences, ensuring that our brand and product launches, collaborations, and initiatives resonate on a global scale. Reporting into the Global Brand Marketing Director (Eastpak), and working very closely with the Global Eastpak and JanSport marketing teams and broader functions, you will be responsible for helping to define the communications strategy that will ensure the success of the 5-year plan and build a successful global Eastpak presence and support the emergence of JanSport within the EMEA market. Your role will help to breathe energy into the brand communications to deliver successful campaigns and collaboration launches and continue to develop brand awareness across markets.
A fully involved role in all aspects of Eastpak and JanSport marketing, you will be the point person for the bringing all the key projects and initiatives to life and to the attention of the media, our global consumer base and ensuring strong brand and collection presence and awareness.
Topline Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Global Eastpak Communication Strategy: Fully understand the global brand calendar to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that amplify the impact of our product launches, collaborations, and brand activations. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with brand objectives and market nuances.
EMEA JanSport Communications Strategy: Translate the global JanSport media strategy into the EMEA markets, Adapting to the needs to the local markets and ensuring regional relevance.
Media Relations: Managing global media relationships with media agencies and outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure strategic coverage and maximize brand exposure across diverse platforms.
Global PR Leadership: Lead the global Eastpak PR briefings, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across markets and setting the seasonal goals. Provide guidance and support to local teams in crafting compelling communication plans that resonate with their respective audiences.
Collaboration Management: Fully immerse yourself in the global brand collaborations, adapting the communication strategy to match the partnership type, ensuring that our partnerships are authentically portrayed and garner the attention they deserve.
Content Excellence: Collaborate with creative teams to develop captivating and relevant content that drives engagement and reinforces Eastpak's brand identity.
Market Insight: Stay attuned to global market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities, translating insights into actionable communication strategies.
Agency Collaboration: Work closely with local markets to develop and manage PR agency briefings, setting clear KPIs and expectations to achieve impactful results.
Social Media and Community: Lead and develop the role of the social media and community specialist, ensuring the brands digital voice .
Event Management & Guidance: Support the local market activation and events calendar, to ensure strong media coverage and digital channel support. Also work closely with global brand teams on major brand launches and sales conferences.
Internal Communications: Manage the flow of content sharing internally to ensure all internal teams have strong visibility and awareness of brand actions and launches.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
Strong experience in brand communications, PR, or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully managing global communication strategies.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences.
Strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and guiding PR agencies to achieve desired outcomes.
In-depth knowledge of global media landscape, industry trends, and digital communication platforms.
Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication strategies with broader business goals.
Crisis management skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations with composure and tact.
Creative mindset with an eye for innovative approaches to communication.
Proficiency in data analysis to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Relocation support may be available to applicants who lives more than 100 km from Antwerp, Belgium.
