TinkerList is a cloud based application to support TV teams creating Talk Shows, Game Shows, Live Shows, Online News, Esports, Visual Radio and Events. It supports the workflow through ideation, writing a script and rundown and handle media. In the technical environment of the studio, our online rundown integrates with prompters, graphic engine and play-out devices. The integration with graphic engines and play-out devices (like vMix) is done via our application TinkerList Cuez. This application handles media downloaded from the script and enables automation of media cueing during recordings. It’s a revolutionary and state-of-art application that means a digital revolution in TV and Event production.

We are looking for a full-time Business Development Manager who will manage our full-cycle sales & marketing strategy. You are the owner of the lead generation process and outreach strategy, engage daily with prospective customers and partners in negotiating deals and contracts, and nurture the existing portfolio of clients. You'll also be responsible develop scalable business development and marketing processes.

You know how to sniff out the requests that are going to derail you from your mission and spot the ones that can take our business to the next level. Likewise, you are the connector for the requests that make it through the filter: connecting the right people together and driving a deal through to completion.

At TinkerList, you will work together with the team on SaaS products for international clients in TV, Online, News and Event broadcasting and production business. We are an ambitious scale-up, with high levels of ownership, ambiguity, and collaboration.

Your tasks 

  • Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, new business, sales, and other matters related to customer acquisition and revenue growth. Methodically prospect, qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales pipeline.
  • Manage the CRM customisation and ongoing development to meet reporting needs and detect areas that need improvement.
  • Develop quotes and proposals for clients. Draft and review contracts.
  • Manage and retain relationships with existing clients. Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Skilfully deliver web-based product demos and pitches.
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives. Develop growth strategies and sales outreach plans, working closely together with the Digital Marketing team.
  • Research on international markets, organisations and individuals to find new opportunities, together with the SDR. Identify and map business strengths and customer needs by following industry trends locally and internationally.
  • Innovate and collaborate with other internal stakeholders to continuously improve customer experience and profitability.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Your profile

  • You have min. 3-5 years experience in a relevant role in business development/sales/marketing/customer success, preferably in a SaaS/startup/tech environment.
  • You have high-level communications skills: excited to speak with partners, comfortable in writing. You are proficient in English and Dutch, any other language is a bonus.
  • You are able to work independently and complete your assignment with minimal direction and guidance from management.
  • You have a proven ability to negotiate and conduct effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • You have experience with the design and implementation of business development strategy.
  • A history of delivering high-quality output and 'getting stuff done', including consistently exceeding sales or other similar targets. You show excellent attention to detail.
  • Rather than being alone on the field, you love to pass the ball to your team mates and score together. You have experience or a strong interest in working with global teams and a remote culture.
  • You prefer wearing a baseball cap and sneakers over a tie or high heels. Same as our clients and end-users, we thrive in a non-formal and relaxed environment.
  • Being familiar with television production or broadcasting business is a plus.
