Our Brussels-based House of Communication (labeled Great Place to Work) is looking for a Account Manager with minimum 3 years of experience in advertising/media agencies, to join its team of around 120 employees and serve clients such as: Argenta, ALDI, BMW, C&A, Decathlon, L’Oréal, Mars, Mini, Nikon, Shell, and many others.

Within our House of Communication, the Account Manager will act as campaign lead in Belgium for our two top brands BMW & MINI. You will oversee and manage the account, including the campaign marketing activities within The Marcom Engine (TME = international agency eco-system for the BMW Group).

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating cross-functional agency teams for your group of campaigns, ensuring seamless delivery of campaigns, and driving business value through effective account management. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent leadership and management skills, and a deep understanding of multi-channel campaign activity with a customer journey focus.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as one of the main points of contact for the Belgian BMW & MINI client, collaborating internally and externally with operational and strategic leads, reporting to your Account Director.
  • Manage the cross-functional domain/channel team for your campaigns, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
  • Have accountability for the entire lifecycle of campaigns, including local delivery management, domain/channel scope, activities, and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain the master timeline and project schedule for your campaigns, ensuring timely execution across domains.
  • Foster integration across agencies to drive business value and meet client objectives, working alongside the Account Director (in larger markets) and domain specialists (CRM, Digital Media, Web&Online, social & Content/Creation).
  • Align with the central TME teams, including strategy and client service, to ensure consistency and coordination.
  • Make an essential contribution to achieving targets and driving results.
  • Take local responsibility for budgets, yearly marketing planning, and other financial matters within the designated areas of responsibility, in collaboration with your Account Director.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the marketing media/agency industry, preferably in a comparable role.
  • Proven track record in agency account management, campaign management, client and senior stakeholder management, and problem-solving.
  • Strong operational excellence with the ability to meet service level agreements and deliver high-quality results.
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen related to marketing activities.
  • Proficiency in understanding data analytics, utilising insights to inform decision-making and optimise campaigns.
  • Excellent team management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and French – the ability to communicate effectively in all three languages (or at least Dutch & English) is essential as well as stationed in Belgium.
